As of October 1st 2019,

Consumption tax was raised from 8% to 10%

But some exception exists.

Takeout foods tax remains 8%.

Restaurant foods tax was raised to 10%.

If I don't be afraid of mistakes,8% is applied to takeout foods, wears.

Even car pool fee was raised to 10%.

So before visit to Japan, pocketmoney should be a lot.
